KAMSACK — An assault-related complaint required Kamsack RCMP to attend a house party.
When members arrived, they were rushed by party-goers. Members held their composure and dealt with the situation.
Later in the evening, the mother of the accused attended the detachment to pick up her daughter without being asked to, as the daughter would be released in the morning once sober.
Members noticed the mother’s pickup truck in front of the detachment with no one else in the vehicle. The female was clearly intoxicated and when asked by members if she drove, she said yes. When given a breath demand by members, she declined to provide a breath sample and was consequently charged with refusal, which holds the same weight as a charge of driving while impaired.
Hide and seek
Kamsack RCMP responded to a call of a male who was not supposed to be in contact with his former partner. Upon arriving, the male ran into the darkness before members could apprehend him. Shortly after, members conducted patrols looking for the male and they located him hiding under a pickup truck in an alleyway.
