On June 1, 2017, Wes and Liz Rempel from Regina and Jean Ellison from Tasmania, Australia placed a tombstone on the unmarked grave of their infant uncle Charles Sydney Ellison, July 17, 1916 – August 28, 1916.  The placement of this marker was long overdue, 101 years after this little one was laid to rest on the land my grandparents George and Dorothy Ellison lived on at that time.  Sydney was the twin of Jean Ellison’s father, Donald Ellison.  Permission was happily given to place this marker from the Macrorie Grazing Cooperative and we would like to thank them for this permission as well as members of your community who have helped us over the years in finding the location of this grave, Oscar Sjovold (late), Lynne Cooper and other members of your community who marked this site in 2005.  So many years too late, but finally this small child’s time on this earth has been recorded.
