Beware of fraud
A resident of Preeceville received a call on Jan. 30 from a male claiming to be her grandson and needed $5,000 to be bailed out of jail. The caller will ask for money for transportation from a foreign country, medical treatment or bail money. Please contact your local RCMP Detachment or the Canadian Anti Fraud Center at 1-888-495-8501 if you have been a victim of a fraud or have fraud-related questions.
