Saskatchewan Roughriders to host pro football prospects at 2025 CFL Combine

The Saskatchewan Roughriders will host the 2025 Canadian Football League Combine from March 21-23.

The CFL released its key off-season dates on Tuesday. The combine coming to Saskatchewan is included in the countdown to the 2025 season.

The annual combine brings the best Canadian and Global recruits together for evaluations, testing and interviews prior to the CFL Draft. During the three days, athletes undergo medical testing and measurements, on- and off-field testing, individual drills, and player availabilities.

The 2025 CFL Draft is scheduled for April 29. In the morning, global players will be selected, and in the evening, national players will be selected.

Other key offseason dates:

February 2-9 – free agency communication window 

  • From 11 a.m. on February 2 until 11 a.m. on February 9, teams will be able to openly speak with pending free agents or their CFL Players’ Association-registered designates.

February 11 – free agency opens 

  • At 11 a.m.,  will be able to officially sign with teams.

February 28 – CFL invitational Combine 

  • Select players head to the University of Waterloo’s Feridun Hamdullahpur Field House.

March 21-23 – CFL Combine

  • Medical testing and measurements, on- and off-field testing, individual drills, player availabilities, etc.

April 29 – Draft day 

  • CFL Global Draft: 10 a.m.
  • CFL Draft: 7 p.m.

May 7 – rookie camps open

  • First-year players will take the field with their new clubs.

May 10 – rosters reduced to 85 players

  • Cutdowns to take place by 11:59 p.m. ET, excluding non-counters.

May 11 – training camps open 

  • All nine clubs officially open camp.

May 13 – rosters reduced to 75 players

  • Cutdowns to take place by 11:59 p.m. ET, excluding non-counters.
