Regina-born former Riders receiver, Brayden Lenius signs with B.C. Lions

Former Saskatchewan Roughriders receiver Brayden Lenius has signed with the B.C. Lions.

The 28-year-old Lenius missed the entire 2024 CFL season while .

The six-foot-four, 230-pound pass catcher was selected in the second round, 15th overall by the Riders in the 2019 CFL Draft. He suited up in 26 regular season games with the Green and White over the next four seasons, recording 83 receptions for 659 yards and five touchdowns.

The Regina-born Lenius scored his first CFL TD against the Lions in Week 1 during the 2021 campaign while he recorded a career-best 37 catches for 471 yards and four majors in 14 regular season games. He signed a contract with the Atlanta Falcons in 2022 then returned to Saskatchewan in August that same year.

After starring at North Vancouver’s Carson Graham Secondary and moving to the Los Angeles area for his grade 12 year, Lenius played at the University of Washington from 2014-2017 while sitting out the 2016 season as a redshirt. With the Huskies, he made 42 receptions for 452 yards and three touchdowns in 39 games.

Lenius transferred and finished his NCAA career New Mexico for his senior season and caught six passes for 39 yards and a touchdown in 11 games with the Lobos.
