Football fans, the wait is almost over. Rookie camps across the Canadian Football League will open in less than a month.
While CFL prospects hope to be called in the April 29th draft, veterans are starting to finalize their off-season preparations. Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback and told the SportsCage that he is ready to go.
“Having a healthy off-season means I can start throwing earlier. I can start really honing in on the things that I wanted to hone in on.”
And what Harris is honing in on may surprise a lot of people.
“I think one of the biggest misconceptions in training in the off-season is that a lot of people say, like, you've got to attack your weaknesses. I spend 80 percent of my time working on my strengths because what makes you great is that if you can become elite at that, that's going to make you even more elite.
“So the things that I'm really good at, or I've been told are really good at, I want to even strengthen those even more, but still attack your weaknesses.”
Rookie camps in the CFL will open on May 7.
