Two suspects on probation arrested by police in car-theft incident

Four vehicles were stolen on Thursday, Oct. 10, in Regina.

REGINA - Police have arrested multiple suspects in a stolen vehicle case.

On Thursday, Oct. 10, after 3 a.m., police were informed of a male group entering a compound at the 1300 block of McCara Street, where four vehicles were stolen.

Two of the vehicles, trucks, badly damaged, were found by police later that day on the rail tracks northeast of the original theft location. A male was walking away from the rail tracks and was detained by police at the 1200 block of Park Street. Police confirmed the male was involved in the theft of the vehicles and damaged a railway switch. The suspect had been on probation and breached his conditions.

42-year-old Tyler John Crabbe from Regina has been charged with:

  • Break and Enter and Commit [CC 348(1)(B)].
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)].
  • Mischief Over $5,000 [CC 430(3)].

Crabbe made his first appearance in Provincial Court on Thursday, Oct 10.

CP police located one of the two remaining stolen vehicles in Pilot Butte on the same day. Regina Police Service, RCMP, and CP police approached the automobile and arrested a 25-year-old female driver for possession of the stolen vehicle. Police discovered the identity of the suspect and discovered she was in breach of the conditions of a release order.

25-year-old Rachel Anne CYR, of Regina, is charged with:

  •  Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 [CC 355(A)].
  •  Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(A)].

Cyr will make her first appearance in Provincial Court on Thursday, Nov. 14.
