MOOSE JAW — The Â鶹´«Ã½AV Central District SHSAA (Saskatchewan High School Athletics Association) held their awards night on Monday for the current school year.
The banquet was held to highlight a number of people who have given countless time and energy to youth sports in and around our area and even in the province.
Leanne Meili from Vanier Collegiate was presented the SHSAA Provincial Service Award.
Meili will also be honoured at the SHSAA annual conference later this week.
The merit award is to honor people who have given outstanding leadership and service to the SHSAA and to the promotion of high school athletics in the Province of Saskatchewan.
Past local recipients include Rose Mary Hartney and Ned Andreoni.
