WEYBURN - The City of Weyburn will reopen Crescent Point Place and the Tom Zandee Sports Arena next week.
“This exciting news comes thanks to the extraordinary efforts of our facilities staff, volunteers and contractors, who worked tirelessly to restore the arenas to operational status,” said Andrew Crowe, director of leisure services.
He noted many of them put in long hours, often staying past midnight several days in a row to ensure the ice was rebuilt and ready for the community.
“We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by everyone involved in this process,” said Crowe.
“Their teamwork and commitment allowed us to achieve such a quick turnaround, and we’re grateful to have such an exceptional team supporting our facilities.”
The City will provide a further update on Monday on the timeline for reopening.
