WEYBURN – The City of Weyburn has hired RC Strategies to conduct a feasibility study to figure out the best way to meet residents’ needs for swimming pools and other water-related facilities.
This study will explore improvements to service delivery and facility design possibilities, including facility repairs and modernization, potential expansion, and the construction of a new aquatic facility.
"Weyburn thrives when we plan together,” said City of Weyburn Mayor Richards in a prepared statement on April 22. “The feasibility study is about building a full picture of our community’s aquatic needs, and the resident survey is a key piece of that. We’re listening, learning and gathering the insight we need to make smart, community-driven decisions for the future."
The study will assess the city’s current population, demographics, policies, existing aquatic facilities, costs, and trends in aquatic services.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed and get involved as the process unfolds. For information on the Aquatic Feasibility Study, visit weyburn.ca/engage. The survey closes May 9, 2025.
