ASSINIBOIA – The 2022-2023 Corr Grain Community Rocks Curling Tour recently visited with youth curlers in Assiniboia and Gravelbourg.
The Community Rocks Curling Tour included time on the rink with mixed doubles team of Laura Walker and Kirk Muyres, who recently won bronze at the 2018 Worlds. This initiative is Laura and Kirk’s way of driving participation in the sport by visiting three communities across Saskatchewan and teaching youth about curling, sport, dedication, team-work and work ethic.
The team encouraged youth to learn about curling and skill development, but most importantly to grow confidence and have fun.
