The Editor,On July 8, I made my first visit to Estevan in several years and was saddened to learn that the Estevan Tire Centre had been sold two years prior.Phillip Peter opened the business around 1940. Between Phillip and two of his sons, Warren and Robert, they served the Estevan district for approximately 68 years, making the Estevan Tire Centre one of the longest, family run firms in Estevan.During this period they offered a first rate service, always given in a friendly and courteous manner. Even more importantly, they extended credit to dozens of small business owners, like myself, and many of us were able to operate much easier because of their generosity.I am sure the community misses the Peter boys and would agree that a huge thank you and a large serving of kudos are in the minds of all that were served so well for so long.Richard Houde,Medicine Hat, Alberta
