Farmers looking for new equipment, innovative products, crop research and agribusiness management tips will find all that, and more, at this summer鈥檚 Ag in Motion Discovery Plus.

Through an immersive new digital experience, Ag in Motion Discovery Plus organizers are finding new ways to bring learning and knowledge to the farm through the interactive online farm show and a wide variety of agriculture-focused sessions throughout the show on July 21鈥 25, 2020. Registration is on-going and the show will open for pre-show viewing on Saturday, July 11.

鈥淲e are excited to roll out all the opportunities that farmers will have to connect with agribusiness companies, hear from presenters and see what鈥檚 new this year,鈥漵ays Laura Rance-Unger, Vice President of Content at Glacier FarmMedia. 鈥淲e have been working with our Ag in Motion exhibitors, sponsor companies and industry experts to secure valuable information for farmers to navigate a busy and unusual production year.鈥

Rance-Unger points to three Ag in Motion Discovery Plus keynotes that will give farmers an understanding of what the industry is facing today, where we are headed and the economic opportunities and risks identified for Western Canadian farmers. These sessions are part of over 200 presentations lined up for the Ag in Motion Discovery Plus show in a few weeks.

Dr. David Kohl, academic Hall of Famer in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Virginia Tech at Blacksburg, VA., will share his perspective on how the COVID-19 pandemic is transforming agriculture and will discussstrategies for farmers to manage through this unexpected event. This session is presented by RBC, the Knowledge Centresponsor.

Ranveer Chandra, Chief Scientist at Microsoft Azure Global, will discuss FarmBeats and ways it is empowering farmers with affordable digital agriculture techniques that allow seamless collection and analysis of data across various sensors, cameras, drones and satellites.

J.P. Gervais, Vice-President and Chief Agricultural Economist at FCC, will take us beyond the lockdown to look at risks and opportunities in agricultural markets, how consumers are reacting to the end of the food service shutdown, plus the economic trends to monitor for the times ahead.

鈥淲e believe that making this information available to farmers will help them navigate the unknown landscape ahead and help them assess the risks and opportunities they face,鈥 says Rob O鈥機onnor, Ag in Motion Show Director. 鈥淭he show will also offer very practical demonstrations of new equipment and technology, how to maintain farm equipment, agronomic and research updates, and a lot more.鈥

Ag in Motion Discovery Plus takes place July 21 鈥 25, 2020 as a free online event for farmers to get a unique vantage point on current agricultural information. Registration is available at aginmotion.ca.
