The Grade 5 class from St. Michael School gathered with Ryan Birnie, vice-president of operations of Element Technical Services, and instead of "Cheese" declared, "We love fracing". The class was on a tour of the Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show on Thursday, and Birnie gave them a demonstration of the liquids they create to do fracing when drilling for oil, and were shown that the materials used are not hamrful in any way. The class visited a number of other booths at the Oil Show, and heard from company representatives about what they do in the oilpatch.
