Canalta, Ramada hotels are Employers of Choice

Tourism Saskatchewan announced that 27 businesses earned the Employer of Choice designation for 2017, including Canalta Hotels two facilities in Weyburn, the Canalta Hotel and the Ramada Hotel.
This number of businesses earning this designation is an increase of 23 per cent over last year. This is the highest number of participants since the program was introduced in 2010.
Saskatchewan鈥檚 Employer of Choice program continues to attract new tourism employers committed to workplace excellence. The program recognizes the best tourism employers who embrace successful human resource practices that make Saskatchewan a welcoming, service-driven destination.
Employers of Choice are positioned to attract and retain employees who are highly-skilled, take pride in their work and provide visitors to the province with exceptional service and experiences.
鈥淭hese 27 Employers of Choice, located in 12 Saskatchewan communities, contribute significantly to the growth and quality of the province鈥檚 tourism sector,鈥 Minister Responsible for Tourism Saskatchewan Jeremy Harrison said. 鈥淭hey know that excellence in human resources goes hand-in-hand with delivering exceptional hospitality and great guest experiences.鈥
鈥淭ourism Saskatchewan is proud to be an Employer of Choice since 2011 and to stand alongside 26 other tourism businesses that have achieved this distinction,鈥 Tourism Saskatchewan CEO Mary Taylor-Ash said.

All of the 2017 Employers of Choice will receive formal recognition at Tourism Saskatchewan鈥檚 annual Tourism Workplace Leadership Conference in Saskatoon on June 14.
