The attendance was less than 100 but the energy and entertainment level was high when some of the stars of the Canadian Wrestling Entertainment team arrived in the Energy City. The Friday night card at the Wylie-Mitchell Air Cadet Hall, included a tag-team card featuring former WWE star Greg "Hurricane" Helm who teamed up with another masked marauder, Mentallo to defeat the villainous Plum Loco and A.J. Sanchez in a highly entertaining bout that featured some high flying kicks and blows (or as high flying as the lower ceiling in the hall would allow) as well as some classic wrestling holds. The co-headliner event featured a return of wrestling funnyman Bushwacker Luke Williams, who at the age of 63 is in the midst of a comeback schedule that sees him performing as many as 15 times a month. "For the first few weeks it was pretty tough because I had been away for over a year," said Bushwacker in his familiar Australian drawl. "After doing this for more than 28 years, then quitting, it was tough coming back. But it's "awwwright now," he said, producing his widely familiar crooked scowling grin. The Bushwacker came out on the losing end of his match with Rick Matthews. On the undercard, Jim Jacobs defeated Rex Roberts of Regina in Roberts' professional wrestling debut. Big Daddy Kash eliminated Zack Mercury in another entertaining bout that lead up to the feature action which also included a fast paced match between Roderick Strong and Hotshot Danny Duggan, the pride of Manitoba. Duggan came out on top of that conflict.
