Weyburn Silver Seals compete in Estevan Invitational Sprint Meet

The Weyburn Silver Seals hosted a 2019 Invitational Swim Meet at the Weyburn Leisure Centre.

WEYBURN - The Weyburn Silver Seals were in Estevan on July 9, where they competed in the Invitational Sprint Meet hosted by the Estevan Golden Eels.

Medalists from this meet included: Antonius Quist, gold in 18 and over boys; Payton Caldwell, gold in 15-17 girls; Jacob Gill, gold in 11-12 boys; Dalton Molnar, silver in 15-17 boys; Lily Popescu, silver in 13-14 girls; Avryelle Molnar, silver in 11-12 girls; Tamberley Kreger, bronze in 13-14 girls; and Charlie Ashworth, bronze, 9-10 boys.

The following are swim meet results categorized by swimmer.

Charlie Ashworth, male 9-10 category, won second in the 50 m freestyle, second in the 25 m breaststroker, third in the 25 m butterfly, seventh in the 25 m backstroke and third in the 25 m freestyle.

Emery Barker, female 13-14 category, took 10th in the 50 m freestyle, seventh in the 50 m breaststroke, fifth in the 50 m backstroke and 10th in the 25 m freestyle.

Payton Caldwell, female 15-17 category, won first in the 50 m freestyle, second in the 50 m breaststroke, first in the 50 m butterfly, first in the 25 m freestyle and second in the 100 m IM.

Jacob Gill, male 11-12 category, won second in the 50 m freestyle, first in the 50 m breaststroke, first in the 50 m butterfly, second in the 50 backstroke and first in the 100 m IM.

Hayleigh Hovanak, female 11-12 category, took 14th in the 50 m freestyle, 13th in the 50 m breaststroke, seventh in the 50 m backstroke and 12th in the 25 m freestyle.

Keaton Istace, male 9-10 category, took 15th in the 50m freestyle, ninth in the 25 m backstroke and 13th in the 25 m freestyle.

Dawson King, male 15-17 category, placed fifth in the 50 m freestyle, third in the 50 m breaststroke, sixth in the 50 m butterfly, fifth in the 25 m freestyle and fourth in the 100 m IM.

Lyndsay Kirkpatrick, female 9-10 category, placed 15th in the 50 m freestyle and 22nd in the 25 m freestyle.

Tamberly Kreger, female 13-14 category, took second in the 50 m freestyle, third in the 50 m breaststroke, first in the 50 m backstroke, fifth in the 25 m freestyle and fourth in the 100 IM.

Bentley McKinney, male 7-8 category, placed ninth in the 50 m freestyle and 11th in the 25 m freestyle.

Avryelle Molnar, female 11-12 category, took second in the 50 m freestyle, fifth in the 50 m breaststroke, third in the 50 m butterfly, first in the 25 m freestyle, and second in the 100 IM.

Dalton Molnar, male 15-17 category, won third in the 50 m freestyle, first in the 50 m breaststroke, second in the 50 m butterfly, third in the 25 m freestyle and second in the 100 IM.

Daisy Popescu, female 11-12 category, took 10th in the 50 m freestyle, eighth in the 50 m breaststroke, fifth in the 50 m backstroke and fourth in the 25 freestyle.

Lily Popescu, female 13-14 category, placed third in the 50 m freestyle, second in the 50 m breaststoke, second in the 50 m butterfly, second in the 25 m freestyle, and second in the 100 IM.

Antonius Quist, male 18 and over category, won first in the 50 m freestyle, the 50 m breaststroke, the 50 m backstroke and the 25 m freestyle.

Brenna Torkelson, female 9-10 category, took eighth in the 50 m freestyle, 13th in the 25 m breaststroke, 10th in the 25m butterfly, ninth in the 25 m backstroke and 10th in the 25 freestyle.

Rhett Wagner, male 9-10 category, placed 11th in the 50 m freestyle, ninth in the 25 m breaststroke, 11th in the 25 m backstroke and 10th in the 25 m freestyle.

Alexis Warner, female 7-8 category, took 11th in the 50 m freestyle, 10th in the 25 m backstroke and 11th in the 25 m freestyle.

Taylor Warner, female 9-10 category, placed 19th in the 50 m freestyle, 15th in the 25 m backstroke and 19th in the 25 m freestyle.

Shay Warren, female 9-10 category, took fifth in the 50 m freestyle, eighth in the 25 m breaststroke, second in the 25 m butterfly, third in the 25 m backstroke and fifth in the 25 m freestyle.

Zane Warren, male 7-8 category, placed eighth in the 50 m freestyle, eighth in the 25 m backstroke and 10th in the 25 m freestyle.

Topher Wilkinson, male 9-10 category, took fourth in the 50 m freestyle, fifth in the 25 breaststroke, 10th in the 25 m backstroke and eighth in the 25 m freestyle.
