WEYBURN – The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings recorded a win and a loss in their last two home games at Crescent Point Place, with a 4-1 win over the Flin Flon Bombers on Thursday evening, and a close 2-0 loss to the Nipawin Hawks on Saturday night.
In the victory, the Bombers scored their lone goal in the first period, then it was all Weyburn in the second and third periods.

On Saturday night, the game was very tight and close, with no scoring in the first and second periods with both teams getting good scoring chances.
The Hawks scored late in the game, with 1:25 left on the clock, so the Wings pulled Mitchell from the net for the extra attacker, but the Hawks scored on the empty net to clinch the 2-0 win.
Mitchell saved 27 of the 28 shots he faced in goal.
