WEYBURN - Several Weyburn Athletes were in Regina at Box Lacrosse Nationals with Team Sask, held August 14 to 19.
Alex, Hudson and Quinton were on the U15 team. They ended up in the bronze medal final but were defeated by Quebec 5-3
The U13 girls, represented by Julie, Paycen, Hunter, Bree and Yael (and coached by Randy and Jessie), lost the bronze medal game 2-1 against Nova Scotia. Coach Jessie also played with the U22 Manitoba team during the national competition.
The U17 boys team, with Weyburn athlete Sawyer Leko, made it to the bronze medal game but lost 10-3 to Alberta.
The U17 girls were beat by Alberta in the bronze medal final 11-5. Weyburn athletes on this team were Callie, Ella, Brittney and Jorja.
Also, playing in the Junior NLL Tournament in Oakville last weekend were Leo, Andrew and Chayse on the Junior Rush Team.
