ESTEVAN - The Estevan Bruins celebrated their 2021-22 SJHL championship season on Friday night.
Prior to the start of their home game against the Yorkton Terriers that opened the 2022-23 season, the Bruins showed a video with highlights of the 2021-22 campaign, including their seven-game victory over the Flin Flon Bombers in the league final.
Then it was long-time Bruin supporter, volunteer and billet mom Gail Chilman who unveiled the banner to cheers from the audience.
Last season marked the Bruins' first SJHL title since 1999.
