The Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast U18 AAA Twins and the Estevan U18 AA Brewers saw their respective bids for provincial titles come to an end in the provincial semifinal.
The Twins lost 9-4 to the East Central Red Sox Sunday in Saskatoon. The Twins trailed 3-0 after the first inning, fought back to tie the game at 3-3 in the fifth inning, and then gave up six runs in the sixth to the Red Sox, who would go on to win provincials.
The Twins play most of their home games in Estevan.
The Brewers had two games on Sunday. First they defeated the WhiteButte Broncos 10-7 in extra innings. The Brewers led 7-0 in the third inning, but White Butte fought back to tie the game. The Brewers pulled out the win with three in the eighth inning.
In the semifinal against the top-ranked Parkland Expos, the Brewers led 6-2 in the second inning, but the Expos chipped away at the lead and wound up winning 12-6, ending the Brewers' season.
The Expos went on to win the provincial title.
Both the Twins and the Brewers are part of the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League.

The two Estevan-based teams competing at the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League's U18 provincials this weekend will be playing on the final day of their respective tournaments.
The Twins, who entered provincials as the league's top seed thanks to their 25-5 record in the regular season, had a rough start to provincials with an 8-4 loss Friday to the Saskatoon Giants.
But they recovered to win two straight games Saturday, 7-5 over the Regina Wolfpack and 3-1 over the Regina White Sox to finish first in their pool at 2-1.
The Red Sox were second in their pool.
Meanwhile, the Brewers opened provincials with a 6-4 win over the Regina Pacers on Friday. They dropped a 7-6 decision to the Broncos on Saturday morning, but recovered with a 10-0 romp in five innings over the Regina Buffalos in a must-win game.
The Brewers had the second-best record in the regular season at 19-6-1. Only the Expos had a better mark.
