The Assiniboia Senior Rebels and the Mossbank Blades hockey teams are headed to the championship final. Both teams finished in the top two spots during the regular season in the Notekeu League.
The Rebels, who finished first, continued their title hunt after blanking the Glentworth Thunder 4-0 in game five in Assiniboia on February 24.
The stands were full of fans from both teams. Assiniboia’s Al Sinclair opened the scoring halfway through a cautious and slow  first period. Sean Whelan and Derek Lessmeister added two more in the second period and the Rebels took a commanding 3-0 lead before the third.

Assists were from Brad Reaney, Derek Lessmeister, Colton Lethbridge, Zach Evans and Sean Whelan. Spencer Bushell played a solid 60 minutes in net and Clayton Schmidt was the goalie for the Thunder.
