ESTEVAN - Members of the Estevan Mermaids artistic swimming club put their skills on display on Saturday during their water show at the Estevan Leisure Centre's swimming pool.
A large crowd gathered on the pool's deck to watch the swimmers.
The mini Mermaids started the evening. Then the limited competitive and competitive swimmers took to the pool for solos, duets and groups exhibitions. Graduating member Rebecca Duncan was presented with a scholarship, and then the limited competitive and competitive athletes came together to perform the grand finale.
Head coach Shannon Wanner reflected on the efforts of each of the swimmers and the coaches throughout the season. She also encouraged the spectators to cheer on the swimmers as much as possible, and to sing and clap along with the music.
Next week's edition of the Mercury will have more on this story.
