Pee Wee Young Fellows start season with loss

The Weyburn Pee Wee AA Young Fellows started their regular season off with a 7-2 loss to the Moose Jaw Warriors on Sunday night at Crescent Point Place.

The Weyburn Pee Wee AA Young Fellows started their regular season off with a 7-2 loss to the Moose Jaw Warriors on Sunday night at Crescent Point Place.

The first period ended with Moose Jaw scoring three goals and the Young Fellows scoring one with the first goal of the season scored by defenseman Matthew Kesslering, assisted by Tylar Fox and Blake Dempsey. Early in the second period Kane Altwasser scored the Young Fellows second goal with assists going to Tylar Fox and Austin Neiszner. The Warriors then went on to score one more goal in the second and three more in the third period.

The line up for the 2010/2011 Pee Wee AA Young Fellows include Austin Neiszner, Blake Dempsey, Kane Altwasser, Matthew Kesslering, Wyatt Arndt, Jackson Soanes, Conor LaFoy, Tylar Fox, Kolten Ganson, Luke Niemegeers, Chad Brock, Andrew Hulbert, Bailee Bourassa, Brayden Barsness and Austin Gerry with goaltenders Nicholas Cuthbert and Dalton Dosch. Coaching staff is Jay Gerry - head coach, Jerry LaFoy - assistant coach, Troy Arndt - assistant coach, John Hulbert - trainer, and Connie Arndt - manager.

The Young Fellows next game is on the road playing Estevan in the Civic Centre at 6:15 p.m. on October 17.
