The Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast Royals Midget AAA baseball team captured the Moose Jaw Select tournament that was held during the May long weekend. The Royals finished first in their pool with a 3-0 record, thanks to a 10-1 win over Okotoks, an 8-5 win over Lloydminster in a time-limited six-inning game, and a forfeited victory over the Regina Mets.In the semi-final, the Royals defeated the Saskatoon Diamondbacks 3-2. And the Royals defeated the Saskatoon Giants 6-1 in the final. James Good had a complete game, seven-inning performance to pick up the win. The Royals boast players from Estevan, Weyburn and the surrounding communities.
