ASSINIBOIA - A “Reconnection of Family and Friends” curling bonspiel was held on Family Day weekend.
This year it included eight teams, consisting of kids, grandkids and great grandkids of the original community members who began this yearly event back in the late 40s in Archie Taylor’s backyard. (Davyroid rink). The original arena blew down in July 1972. The Curling Bonspiel continued in Assiniboia in 1974.
