WEYBURN - Erik Barsness, a former Weyburn Comp Eagle and current player with the Saskatoon Hilltops, holds the national championship trophy after Saskatoon beat the Westshore Rebels of Langford, B.C. Barsness is an offensive lineman with the Hilltops, and they beat the Rebels 17-10 in the Canadian Bowl for the Canadian Junior Football League. The game was played on Nov. 11, the same day his former team was hosting the provincial championship. The Hilltops were undefeated this year with a 12-0 record.
