Joel Danyluk has seen a lot of stops in the last three years. His next one should last a while.
The graduating Estevan Bruins goalie has committed to Augustana College of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.
Augustana is based in Camrose, Alta.
Danyluk, 21, posted an 18-16-1 record with a 3.74 goals-against average and .897 save percentage in his last year of junior hockey, and his only one in Estevan.
The Yorkton native began his SJHL career with two seasons with the Terriers.
Early in the 2009-10 season, with Yorkton having four goalies on the roster, they dealt him to the La Ronge Ice Wolves for forward Adam Moar.
It was in La Ronge where Danyluk had his greatest success, posting a sparkling 1.77 GAA and .946 save percentage in the playoffs en route to winning the Credit Union Cup. The Wolves went on to play in the Royal Bank Cup that year.
Following that season, Danyluk and forward Ben Findlay were dealt to the Bruins to complete the futures in an earlier trade that sent forward Liam Brennan and defenceman Colton MacPherson to the Wolves.
Danyluk could not be reached last week before heading to Europe on an 11-day vacation sponsored by Contiki Holidays for winning the SJHL's Community Player Award.
