Tues., Dec. 7/10 - Wawota -6 at Oxbow - 8 (EN)- Big Six Hockey League
Have you ever been kicked in the gut??? Ask us - it's not a very good thing!!! After a short bench played its heart out, the Flyers saw a 6 - 3 lead evaporate in the last 10 minutes to suffer an 8 -6 loss to thehome-town Huskiesof Oxbow on Tuesday night. After holding period leads of 2 - 1 and 5 - 2, the Flyers extended their lead to three goals with time winding down. It looked good, but then, POOF! It was gone! Aheart-breaker, to say the least!
Kent Sauter led the way, offensively, for the Flyers, notching two goals to go along with 2 assists. Sauter, a first-year Flyer, was very strong at both ends of the ice and has become a spark-plug of a leader for this team.Kevin Lincoln chipped in with a goal and three helpers, with single goals coming off the sticks of James Gallagher, Jordan Fox and Kristjan Hebert. Rob West and Mike Bratton on the Flyers' bluelinehad outstanding games.Josh Seibel guarded the Flyers' cage.
The boys deserved a better result tonight - keep humping, guys!
