The Junior B 麻豆传媒AVern Rebels held its golf tournament at the Assiniboia Regional Park Golf Course on Saturday, June 10. On this sunny Saturday, 48 golfers including mens and mixed teams took to the course for 18 holes of golf which started with a shotgun start. Also in attendance were some Junior Rebels board volunteers and some Rebels hockey players, including Trey Tendler, Dakota Helland, Nolan Berner, Carson Cayer, Landon Marit and Avery Sabourin Altman to name a few. 聽

With the help of some very generous sponsors, everyone in attendance took home a prize. The team of Randy Anderson, Al Karst, Ryan Eberle and Kelly Prevost took the top prize finishing 16 under par. The award for the most honest team went to Team Marit comprised of Carol, Grant and Landon Marit along with Sharon Schauenberg who was made an 鈥渉onorary Marit鈥� for the day. Prizes were also awarded for the ladies鈥� and men鈥檚 longest drives and for the ladies鈥� and men鈥檚 longest putts. The prize for the ladies鈥� longest drive went to Jackie Moneo. The prize for the men鈥檚 longest drive went to Dakota Helland. Sharon Schauenberg received the prize for the ladies鈥� longest putt.聽

A wonderful steak dinner with all the fixings was prepared by Harvey and the regional park golf course staff, who ensured that everyone had their fill. Following the supper, Al Sinclair organized a 鈥渉orse race鈥� game that saw about 16 golfers continue and race to 鈥渢he finish鈥�. Al Sinclair and Chris Durell emerged the winners of the horserace.聽

The event proved to be a great day of golf for all of the participants. The Junior B 麻豆传媒AVern Rebels Hockey team expressed their appreciation for the community support. They look forward to a successful hockey season starting this fall and look forward to seeing their many fans in attendance.聽
