ESTEVAN - For the second straight season, the Estevan Coldwell Banker Choice Real Estate U12 Chargers are headed to the Moose Jaw Minor Football League Final.
The Chargers edged the Moose Jaw Spartans 20-13 Friday night at the Dana Quewezance Memorial Field at Woodlawn Athletic Park. The Chargers scored the go-ahead touchdown with 45 seconds to play in the fourth quarter.
The game marked a rematch of last year's league final, which Estevan won to capture the first championship in Penta Completions Estevan Minor Football history.
Estevan also beat the Spartans in both meetings during the 2022 regular season, although this game was closer and lower scoring.
The Chargers will face the Moose Jaw Lions or the Weyburn Falcons in the league final. The Lions and the Ravens will meet in the other semifinal on Sunday in Moose Jaw.
The league final will be played in Moose Jaw.
