ESTEVAN - The Estevan Bruins made a few moves prior to Monday's SJHL trade deadline.
Estevan acquired 19-year-old defenceman Damon Byers from the Melfort Mustangs for a player development fee. Byers, also 19, had three goals and two assists in 15 games for Melfort this season.
The Bruins previously added to their already impressive collection of forwards by signing Mitch Kohner.
Kohner, 19, hails from Rosemount, Minn., and played parts of four seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Prince George Cougars and the Spokane Chiefs.
He had one goal and three assists in seven games for the Cougars this season.
To make room for Kohner, they dealt 19-year-old forward Prescott Senger to the Kindersley Klippers for a player development fee. Senger, who joined the Bruins midway through this season, had two goals and an assist this year.
