It was a light week for the Estevan Devils, with their only game being a 12-2 loss to the Moose Jaw Mustangs on the road Monday night.

Cam Biette scored both goals for Estevan.

The defeat drops the Devils to 0-9 on the Queen City Minor Box Lacrosse season.

Estevan had only eight players available Monday and made do with what they had, including Dustin Cowan taking on goaltending duties.

The Devils took the early lead after Biette was sprung on a pair of long passes from Isaac Elder and Shelby Betzema.

The other Devils goal was set up by Elder and Christian Yuzicapi Bod.

"I was very happy that the kids played smart because we only had two players to change out on the bench," said coach Cory Bod.

"We picked our spots to take off out of our own end and we hooked up on several nice passes.

"We discussed before the game that our best chances to make an impact would be early while our legs were still fresh."

The midget team's next game is tonight in Regina against the Cannons. Including that game, they have five left in the regular season.
