After a 2-2 game one tie, the Cougars came back with an explosion of third-period offence and took game two 6-3.

The Cougars opened the scoring on the power play before falling behind in the game. Paige Collopy scored for the Cougars with 6:25 remaining in the first period. That lead was short-lived when Weyburn tied it up just 40 seconds later.

With a 1-1 tie heading into the second, the Cougars quickly stumbled as Weyburn went up 3-1, with the go-ahead goal scored just 49 seconds into the period.

Down two, Jolie Walliser got the Cougars to within one with a goal with 6:13 left in the frame.

In the third it was all Estevan. Four third-period goals buried Weyburn, ensuring the Cougars progress into the next round.

Katie Cameron tied the game at three for the Cougars less than three minutes into the final period and they didn't look back. Collopy got the game winner followed by Jennifer Biette and Walliser, who both scored in the final three minutes.

The Cougars took down the Regina Renegades in the provincial semi-final winning game two on Sunday 2-0.

Amata Poirer earned the shut out in net for the Cougars, and Walliser and Jennifer Biette notched the two goals.
