A female customer at a local lounge who refused to leave the facility after being asked to do so by management, was the subject of attention by the Estevan Police Service (EPS) last Friday night.
The lounge staff had asked the woman to leave several times, and she continually refused so EPS members located her and removed her from the establishment.
During a routine check of her identity, it was revealed that there were several warrants issued for her arrest so she was taken into custody pending a Monday court appearance.
During the course of the weekend, EPS members issued two 24-hour suspensions of driving licences and several other charges were laid for a variety of misdeeds.
Police reported they are also investigating a report of an assault that apparently occurred at a local convenience store Sunday morning. They also noted that three men were arrested for being intoxicated in public and spent the night in cells while another man was arrested Saturday night after it was learned there were warrants out for his arrest. He was later released on a cash surety.
Police were also involved in an effort to remove young people from the roof of the Souris Valley Aquatic and Leisure Centre. The youth had come down from the roof and departed the scene prior to police arrival.
Police also noted that they were called upon to issue several noise bylaw warnings to people who were disturbing the peace of others.
