Residents are invited to decorate their residence for the holidays and submit a photo along with the address of the location to Weyburn Tourism between Nov. 29 and Dec. 6. Entries can be submitted via Messenger.
Weyburn Tourism will then post the entries on their Facebook page and will take votes and “likes” on their favourite displays from Dec. 7 to 14.
Once a winner has been chosen, a map will be available on the Weyburn Tourism Facebook page and website from Dec. 15 to Jan. 3, 2022, with the locations of all the entries so that everyone can safely enjoy the holiday displays.
A prize will be awarded for the “fan favourite” based on the votes received from the public, so be sure to “Like” the photo that is your favourite.
“Weyburn Tourism is excited to launch this event once again. It’s a fun way to incorporate the holiday lights at River Park Sparkles with lights on display within the residential neighbourhoods in Weyburn. Weyburn residents and visitors can safely enjoy all the festive lights around Weyburn,” commented Larry Heggs, executive director of Weyburn Tourism.
In the meantime, residents are also invited to visit River Park during December to see the River Park Sparkles Tour, which will be on every night once the sun goes down, from Dec. 6 to Jan. 3.
