WEYBURN – Patty Skjerdal, Kevin Livingstone and Denise Philip from RBC presented a cheque for $10,000 to Cheryl VanDeSype, Manager of Clinical Services, and some of the nurses at Weyburn General Hospital.
RBC supports nurses through 24 donations to rural hospitals in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Northwest Ontario towards nursing education and professional development, over $200,000 in total. The RBC has selected four facilities across Saskatchewan to donate funds to support training and development of nurses. Weyburn was chosen as one of the recipients.
The nurses on hand for the donation included Lyndsay DeWit, RN Nursing Supervisor; Tori Forst, RN ER; Whitney Rutten, RN ER; Justine Daniel, RN ER; Kristen Mahoney, RN 3rd Floor; Jessica Lunde, RN ER; Carloyn Barsness, RN 3rd Floor; and Cheryl VanDeSype, RN Clinical Services Manager.
