Wanuskewin will re-open to the public on Saturday, September 5 for the Labour Day long weekend.

The park 13.3 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon is on the tail end of a major $40 Million renewal project.

Although the entire project is not yet complete, the renovated Art Galleries, Gift Shop, Restaurant, Trail System and the Bison Viewing Platform will be accessible for park visitors.

Wanuskewin is taking COVID 19 preventative measures seriously, so the park is now a mask mandatory facility.

All patrons and staff must wear masks unless they are outside on the trails or in the plaza.

In addition, Wanuskewin is offering immunocompromised tour day options for guests on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Guests will be able to pre-book these tour times on the park’s website in the coming weeks.

Saturday, Sunday and Monday of the long weekend, the park will be open to 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The park will offer socially distanced guided tours starting at 11:15 a.m. The trail walk will begin at 1:00 p.m. and the Bison Tour starts at 2:00 p.m.

Guests are welcome to participate in tours, or they are welcome to walk the trails on their own if they prefer.

After the long weekend will switch to their regular schedule of Wednesday through Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
