WEYBURN - The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety is providing $220,000 for two police positions in Weyburn through the Municipal Police Grants program in 2021-22.
These positions are within the Organized Crime/Serious Crimes Task Force Program and Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan Program in the City of Weyburn.
"Thanks to this funding our policing services will continue to deliver important initiatives to keep our community safe," Education Minister and Weyburn Big-Muddy MLA Dustin Duncan said on behalf of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety Minister Christine Tell. "We are pleased to continue our partnership with the Weyburn Police Service."
Saskatchewan Government Insurance is also providing $180,000 for one position as part of the Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan initiative.

The Ministry of Corrections and Policing provides funds to police services across Saskatchewan through the Municipal Police Grants program to support 133 municipal police positions and targeted policing initiatives.
