Assiniboia was hit with thunderstorms on Friday evening along with periods of light to heavy rain.
These storms may have influenced a power outage in Assiniboia lasting from 01:30 a.m. until 8 a.m. on Saturday morning, July 4. There also have been some sporadic interruptions of power on Saturday evening in Assiniboia. Â
Areas west of Assiniboia, including the Glentworth region, underwent hailstorms on Friday, July 3.
More thunderstorms were promised in the forecast for Saturday evening and overnight, with warm temperatures averaging between 16-25 Celsius and a humidity index of 61-82 per cent.
The wind on Saturday evening will alternate from the northeast and northwest with speeds ranging from 14-25 kilometres per hour, with gusts extending from 35-25 kilometres per hour.
Sunny weather is expected on Sunday with a high of 23 and a low of 12 along with cloudy periods.  Â
