ESTEVAN - There has been another significant drop in the number of active COVID-19 cases in Â鶹´«Ã½AV East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to the daily figures supplied by the Saskatchewan Health Authority on Aug. 16 on the COVID-19 dashboard.
There were 46 active cases in Zone 4, down from 59 on Aug. 15, which means there were 13 recoveries in the area.
As for the rest of the Â鶹´«Ã½AV East, there is one new case in Â鶹´«Ã½AV East Zone 2, which is north of Zone 4.
There are now 85 active cases in the Â鶹´«Ã½AV East region. Two people are in hospital in the Â鶹´«Ã½AV East; both are receiving inpatient care. And another 14 people in the Â鶹´«Ã½AV East have recovered.
A total of 28 COVID-19 tests were processed in the Â鶹´«Ã½AV East on Aug. 15.
And another 31 doses of vaccine have been administered, bringing the total number of doses to 97,663. A total of 46,005 people in the Â鶹´«Ã½AV East are now fully vaccinated.
