Students in Weyburn pledged to make good decisions and lead safe and healthy lives at the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) graduation on June 17.Grade 6 students from Assiniboia Park Elementary, Haig, Souris, Queen Elizabeth and St. Michael's schools received certificates for participating in classroom time spent learning about drug abuse prevention. Weyburn Police Service members and DARE Instructors Cst. Caroline Chartrand, Cst. Darcy Cleasby, Cst. Brent VanDeSype and Cst. Melinda Mintenko led classroom instruction.Several students read essays they had written about their commitment to a drug-free life during the ceremony.
