With the holiday season around the corner the school has been buzzing with busy motions of students completing assignments, teachers wrapping up units and everyone getting ready for the festive events that will be occurring.

Let's start us off with sports and extracurricular activities that have many students and teachers alike occupied. The Sr. Girls and Boys Volleyball teams have completed their seasons and both of them represented the schools very well. The Sr. Girls ended their season at Midale in the conference play offs. The Sr. Boys completed theirs in Wolseley at the Regional Level. Both teams tried hard and represented the school great. Good luck next year. All of the basketball teams have started their year and are going hard already. Good luck in the seasons to come!

In SRC news the students have been busy with different events that are coming up. There has been an ongoing Food Bank Drive at the school and the last day that donations will be taken is Wednesday December 15th. If all of the boxes are filled up Ms. Wyatt and Austin Guillemin will dye their hair pink. The boxes are almost full so keep working hard! The spirit days that are still to occur include Wednesday Dec. 8th, "Would you be my friend if I wore this?", Wednesday Dec. 15th "Nerd Day" and finally to end the 2010 school year we have "Ugly Christmas Sweater" day on Tuesday Dec. 21st. Don't forget to show your school spirit!

There will be a school dance for students Grade 7-12 on Friday December 17th from 8:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. The cost of a ticket is $8.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door. We are lucky to have GENERATION SOUND as our D.J and he will be playing for the whole night. Doors open at 7:30 and close at 9:00, if you have any questions, concerns, or you would like to purchase a ticket please contact the school at 457-2533 and ask for Ms. Wyatt. There will be an elementary sock hop on Thursday December 16th from 12:15-1:00. This is available for k-6 and will cost $1.00 to enter. Only sock feet are acceptable.

On Tuesday December 14th the school is putting on a special treat for the elementary families. We are going to be doing the Family Fun night a little differently this year. Instead of having come and go activities there will be a Polar Express theme. There will be different activities to take part in around the Elementary classrooms so bring your family and wear your Pyjama's. It starts at 6:45!

These particular students are a few of the many Bucket Fillers that have recognized in our school: this month's prize winners include from the K-1-2 class Maia Wilson (Free Cut and Colour from Herr Cuts), Dylan Campbell (Two free donuts from Goodwill Bakery) and Kyra Coderre (Ice Cream from K.O's Subs). The winners from the 2/3 room include Shyanne Coderre (Donuts from Goodwill Bakery), Juila Priest (Ice Cream from K.O's subs) and Micah Walbaum (Roughriders Shirt donated by the Pharmacy). The grade 4/5 bucket filler recipients included Jayden Coderre (Movie Night from the Meat Market), Dillon Wallace (Roughrider Shirt from the Pharmacy) and Remy Gilbertson (Roughrider shirt from the Pharmacy). Finally in the grade 6 classroom the Bucket Fillers included Kienen Piper (Movie Night from the Meat Market), Veronica Griffin (Roughrider shirt from the Pharmacy) and finally Nathan Wallace (Granola Bars and Juice Boxes from the Meat Market). Thank-you very much for your many donations! Also, students keep filling those buckets.

Crystal's Pet Shop and The Library put on a special event for the elementary students. There were many different exotic pets for the students to explore, learn about and enjoy.

Finally there will be a community lunch at the school from 12-1 Tuesday December 21st to thank all of the community members who have contributed to the school and our new gym floor.

Also, Tuesday December 21st will be an early dismissal of 1:30 so buses will be coming to get the children early that day.
