Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast Calf Cruze competition held in Weyburn

The 16th Annual Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast Club Calf Cruze was held at the Souris Valley Industries Show and Sale Arena at the Weyburn fair grounds.

WEYBURN – The 16th Annual Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast Club Calf Cruze was held at the Souris Valley Industries Show and Sale Arena on May 13.  It was another successful show this year with 48 entries.  Wes Mack was the judge for the day, data entry was Rhonda Croal, announcer was Shiney Hallberg and the ringman for the day was Daniel Fellner.
The top two placings and champions were:
Charolais Heifer Class: first place, Jack Wright, and second place, Lane Wright.
Angus Heifer Class: first place, Sydney Dorrance, and second, Kate Webb.
Simmental Heifer Class: first place, Ryder Fellner, and second, Carter Goudy.
All Breeds Heifer Class: first place, Emily Sebastian, and second, Casie Brokenshire.
Hereford Heifer Class: first place, Cole Hewitt, and second, Laine Petterson.
The Grand Champion Heifer was won by Ryder Fellner and the Reserve Champion Heifer was awarded to Emily Sebastian. Ryder also won the People's Choice Heifer and the prize for Bred and Owned Heifer.
In the Steer Classes the top two placings in each division were:
Light Weight Steer Class: first place, Casie Brokenshire, and second, Carter Goudy.
Medium Weight Steer Class: first place, Chloe Mills, and second, Tanner Hawreluik.
Heavy Weight Steer Class: first place, Ryder Beutler, and second, Kate Webb.
The Grand Champion Steer was won by Casie Brokenshire and Reserve Champion was awarded to Ryder Beutler. The People's Choice Steer was won by Chloe Mills. The Bred and Owned Steer went to Carter Goudy.
The Best Pair of Steer and Heifer from one member: first place was Casie Brokenshire, and in second, Kate Webb.
The Showmanship Division was as follows:
Junior Showmanship: first place, Jack Wright, and second, Laine Peterson.
Intermediate Showmanship: first place, Curtis Hewitt, and second, Tanner Hawreluik.
Senior Showmanship: first place, Casie Brokenshire, and second, Kylie Berner.
