A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the southeast.

SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - A severe thunderstorm watch was in effect for much of southeast Saskatchewan on Thursday. 

The advisory was issued at 2:08 p.m. Thursday, and it covers Estevan, Weyburn, Carlyle, Oxbow, Carnduff, Stoughton, Redvers, Wawota, Kipling, Whitewood, Moosomin, Pangman and Milestone, among other communities. 

The advisory stated conditions were favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that could be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
