Thunderstorms were also present on Tuesday evening, but the winds and rain had dissipated towards nightfall in Assiniboia.

The community of Hazenmore, 86.1 kilometres west of Assiniboia, experienced the brunt of Tuesday night’s storm, with large trees and grain bins pushed over by the tumultuous gusts blowing eastwards. ÌýÌýÌýÌý

Assiniboia, Willow Bunch, Rockglen, Coronach, Hart, Hazenmore and the surrounding rural districts in Â鶹´«Ã½AV Central Saskatchewan endured unplanned outages at different hours of the day on July 8.

Assiniboia encountered a mixture of sun and clouds with a 30 per cent chance of light showers later on Wednesday afternoon and towards the evening, along with a high of 18 C and a low of 12 C.

Although Tuesday’s weather alert was no longer in effect, the wind from the southwest was significant on Wednesday afternoon in Assiniboia, with speeds ranging from 60-80 kilometres per hour.

A combination of sun and clouds were predicted for Assiniboia and district on Thursday, along with gentler windspeeds of 20-40 kilometres and a high of 21 Celsius. Ìý
