Saskatchewan RCMP to resume limited front counter services on August 4

The Saskatchewan RCMP would like to advise the public that detachments across the province will resume limited front counter services on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.

The Saskatchewan RCMP would like to advise the public that detachments across the province will resume limited front counter services on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.

Members of the public are asked to only attend the detachment in person when it is absolutely necessary and only if they aren’t showing any signs or symptoms of illness.

Signage at detachment entrances will be posted to inform all visitors of the limited hours of operation, limits on the number of people permitted to wait in the lobby, sanitation and physical distancing and directing the flow of foot traffic.

Three priorities have been identified for Saskatchewan RCMP detachment front counter services, all of which will be offered in compliance with public health guidelines and protocols.

The priority services are as follows: taking complaints, criminal record checks and collision reports.

If anyone requires urgent fingerprinting (e.g., for persons who require VS/CRC as part of their employment), they will be asked several screening questions to identify any signs or symptoms of sickness.

If this urgent request proceeds after the screening, clients must wear a surgical mask throughout the process.

The RCMP said service delivery and commitment to keeping the people of Saskatchewan safe remains unchanged.

The RCMP is continually assessing their processes and procedures and are working with Saskatchewan Public Health to ensure the safety of the public and their frontline employees.

Please phone the local detachment in advance to confirm the priority services available, new limited hours of operation or detachment-specific protocols. Detachment contact information is available on the RCMP’s public website:
