Two incidents involving some dangerous activities grabbed the attention of the Estevan Police Service (EPS) members this past week.
On the night of Aug. 23, police received a report that bore the information that some people were positioned on the rail overpass in the valley area on Highway 39 west and were throwing rocks at vehicles passing underneath.
Police learned that two vehicles had been victimized by the culprits who were stationed on top of the overpass.
The matter is being handled as a very serious offence by police due to the high risk factor. They stated that actions like this can lead to very serious injuries or even death.
In one of the two instances, a semi-truck driver almost lost control of his rig when the rock smashed through the windshield nearly leading to a severe accident.
The two incidents are under active investigation and police are seeking the publics' assistance in determining who is responsible for this activity.
Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to contact the EPS at 634-4767 or report what they know anonymously through Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
