Regina police seeking help from public investigating attempted murder case

A Regina man is recovering from a knife wound on his neck, after he was attacked early in the morning last Thursday.

Regina Police are looking for information about an incident last week that left a man in hospital with a knife wound to the neck.

REGINA — Regina police are investigating an incident from last week that they have deemed to be an attempted murder.

On Sept. 9, police responded to a call at approximately 5:30 a.m. at a residence in the 1300 block of Athol Street. Upon arrival, they found a male victim with a serious injury to his neck.

EMS escorted the man to the hospital, who has survived and is now recovering. 

He told police officers he had been approached by two other men while walking alone on the 1400 block of Montague Street.

“A brief altercation occurred and one of the male suspects assaulted the victim with what is believed to be a knife,” said Regina police. 

Investigation into the incident is ongoing, and police are seeking help from the public.
