RCMP area update

The Carlyle RCMP detachment received 53 calls between Oct. 31 and Nov. 6 Oct. 31 A residence was egged in Carlyle. The complainant advised police that six youth were seen running away, but patrols by police were unable to locate anyone.

Oct. 31

A residence was egged in Carlyle. The complainant advised police that six youth were seen running away, but patrols by police were unable to locate anyone.

The ambulance service requested police presence on a call in the area as they were responding to an individual with broken jaw. The person would not say what happened and did not want to press charges.

A female advised police her car was stuck in the ditch north of Carlyle. As police arrived on scene, they discovered the car had recently been set on fire. Police continue to investigate.

Police responded to a possible assault between two females in the area. The complainant did not want any charges laid.

Nov. 1

Police were advised of a liquor permit issued in for an event in Wawota.

There was a report of a wallet being stolen from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in front of a residence in Carlyle. The wallet was recovered but ID cards and other personal information was missing.

Police received a report that an individual was unlawfully in a dwelling near Carlyle. It was reported for information purposes.

Nov. 2

Police issued stop sign tickets to a 55-year-old female and a 36-year-old male in Carlyle.

Members picked up an intoxicated individual in the area. He was taken to the detachment and lodged in cells overnight until he was sober.

A complaint was received that a 39-year-old male was reported being intoxicated by the SaskPower building. Members attended and located the individual in front of the Home Hardware building. He was arrested.

There was a report of a suspicious vehicle that appeared to be hidden on an area property. Police continue to investigate.

Police received a complaint from a business in Kenosee Lake that someone had stolen a bottle of alcohol. Members attended and arrested a 23-year-old male. It is unknown at this time whether or not charges will be laid.

The detachment received a call about a suspicious vehicle parked at an establishment in Carlyle. Police contacted the registered own who advised the vehicle had a flat tire and she would move it as soon as she could.

Police received a complaint of a vehicle swerving on highway 13 near Kisbey. Members finally located the vehicle near Redvers. The file was not updated at press time.

Nov. 3

An individual turned a found wallet into the detachment. It was found outside in Carlyle. Items inside the wallet identified the owner who was contacted.

Members were dispatched to attend to an injured deer near Kenosee.

Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area. Members had seen the vehicle with its hazards on, but when returned to the area, the vehicle was gone.

An RCMP member issued a ticket to male for driving without due care and attention when he backed up and hit the sign at the Esso in Redvers. No one was injured, but there was a lot of damage that occurred to the driver's trailer as well as to the sign.

Police arrested a 39-year-old male as he was intoxicated and causing problems in the area. He was lodged in cells until sober.

Members received notification of a liquor permit for an event in Carlyle.

Nov. 4

There were three cabins broken into on White Bear Lake Resort. Police continue to investigate.

Police received a complaint of an erratic driver northbound on highway 9. This file was not updated at press time.

Members received a call regarding two intoxicated individuals outside a business in Carlyle. Members attended and arrested the one individual who was still there for public intoxication. The individual was lodged in cells at the detachment until sober.

There was a complaint of a suspicious person "passed out" in a vehicle located on a grid road north of Carlyle. The file was not updated at press time.

Police received a complaint that an individual who intoxicated and at the Redvers Hotel because his probation orders stated he was now allowed in the Redvers Hotel or to be intoxicated. The individual was arrested and brought before a Justice of the Peace, and remanded for court in Estevan for Monday, Nov. 8.

Nov. 5

Police responded to a domestic dispute in Carlyle. One of the subjects had left when police arrived. No charges were laid in the matter.

Police received a report about a male who had possible been beat up. When police arrived at the residence, they found an intoxicated individual, who denied being assaulted. Police were unable to pursue the matter.

There was a complaint of fire works being set off at residence in Carlyle. Members attended and discussed it with the individuals, who said they were done. They did not realize it was a problem. The complainant was advised and the file was concluded.

Members were called to assist with an intoxicated female at business in Carlyle. She was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and lodged in cells at the detachment until sober.

Police received notification of a liquor permit for an event in Wawota.

There was a break-and-enter reported to a cabin at White Bear Lake Resort.

There was a false alarm at a residence in Carlyle.

Nov. 6

A 19-year-old female was issued a warning when she unsafely backed into a door at the carwash in Carlyle.
